Privacy
The short version
GameCairn has no advertising and does not track you across apps or websites. No GameCairn account is required for your personal library. Your library is stored on your device and, when enabled, in your private iCloud database. Squad sharing is optional and controlled game by game.
Personal library
Game titles, platforms, statuses, ratings, notes, cover and store links, prices, and saved references are stored using Apple’s on-device technologies. When iCloud is available for GameCairn, the library is mirrored to a private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account so it can sync across your devices. FromTheShower does not operate a separate server containing your private library.
Squad and Game Center
Squad is optional. If you sign in, GameCairn uses Apple Game Center to obtain the player identifier, display name, and permitted friend list needed for Squad. Only games for which you turn on Share with Squad are placed in the app’s public CloudKit database. Shared activity may include your Game Center identifier and display name, game title, status, rating, cover-art URL, and update time. Notes, store links, saved references, and unshared games are not included.
Purchases and Ranked Mode
Apple processes payments and App Store purchase history. GameCairn does not receive your full payment-card details. RevenueCat helps retrieve products, process and restore purchase results, and determine whether the GameCairn Pro entitlement for Ranked Mode is active. RevenueCat may process an app-specific identifier, transaction and entitlement information, device and app information, and IP-derived country information as a service provider.
Game catalog search
When you enter at least two characters in game search, GameCairn sends the search term and device country or region code to Apple’s App Store search for mobile titles and Valve’s Steam store search for PC titles. These services receive normal request information such as an IP address. GameCairn does not send your notes, ratings, friends, or private library.
Shared links and metadata
When you share or save a URL, GameCairn may request its title and thumbnail using Apple’s link-metadata technology. The linked website may receive normal request information. The resulting title and thumbnail are stored with the link in your library.
How information is used
Information is used only to save, display, search, and synchronize your library; find game metadata and store links you request; show optional Squad activity to Game Center friends; provide, validate, and restore Ranked Mode; respond to support and data requests; and meet legal, security, fraud-prevention, and App Store obligations. GameCairn does not sell personal information, serve targeted ads, or use third-party behavioural analytics.
Service providers
GameCairn relies on Apple for iOS, App Store payments, iCloud, CloudKit, Game Center, link metadata, and App Store search; RevenueCat for purchase and entitlement infrastructure; and Valve for Steam catalog search. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy obligations, and some processing may occur outside your country, including in the United States.
Retention and deletion
Private library data remains on your device and in private iCloud storage until you delete it, remove the app’s stored data, or manage the corresponding iCloud data. Squad keeps one activity record for each game you choose to share; turning off sharing or deleting the game schedules that record for removal and retries when the app reconnects. Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase information under their financial, fraud-prevention, dispute, and legal requirements.
Website and support communications
If you contact support@fromtheshower.com, we receive the email address and content you choose to provide and retain it only as reasonably needed for support, security, record-keeping, and legal obligations. The website may create standard security logs. Google Analytics runs on the website only if you allow optional analytics; this is separate from GameCairn, which contains no third-party behavioural analytics.
Your choices and requests
You can use the personal library without Game Center, choose each game shared with Squad, revoke Game Center friend access, disable GameCairn’s iCloud access, and delete games and links. Email support@fromtheshower.com to request access, correction, or deletion of information controlled by FromTheShower. Information controlled directly by Apple may need to be managed through Apple’s account and privacy tools.
Children
GameCairn is a general-audience gaming organization app and is not directed specifically to children under 13. FromTheShower does not knowingly request a child’s name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, or payment-card information. A parent or guardian can contact us to request review or deletion of information provided directly to FromTheShower.
Security
GameCairn uses Apple platform security, app sandboxing, iCloud and CloudKit access controls, and encrypted network connections supplied by iOS and its service providers. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but the app is designed to minimize collected data.

Changes to this policy
